Downloading and Installing Epicor Edge Agent

This guide walks you through downloading and installing the Epicor Edge Agent, including Smart Client setup and configuration for both LIVE and PILOT environments.

Step 1: Access the Epicor Downloads Portal

Go to https://download.epicorsaas.com
Enter Site ID: 167821
Under Choose your Environment, select:
- Live
- Pilot (Test) (Optional)
Leave all other options at their default values.

Step 2: Download and Install Epicor Smart Client

Finish filling out the form and click Get Client Installer button.
Run the installer and follow the setup prompts, the installer will automatically finish the installation process.

Step 3: Locate and Download the Edge Agent Installer

Log in to your Epicor Kinetic environment:

LIVE - https://robinsonfans-live.epicorsaas.com/server/apps/erp/home/

PILOT (Test) - https://robinsonfans-pilot.epicorsaas.com/server/apps/erp/home/
Navigate to: System Setup > Company / Site Maintenance > Company Maintenance
Then click the dots in the top right and select Launch Edge Agent Configuration

Alternatively, if this is not available you may Open a Document in Epicor to Print and a Dialog should open on the right-hand side that you can download the Edge Agent Installer there.
In the upper-right corner, click the “...” menu and select:
Download Local Edge Agent for Windows

Step 4: Run the Installer

1. Launch the Installer (**Note: This MUST be run by an Administrator)

Double-click the downloaded installer file to begin setup.

2. Configure Kinetic Default Port

Leave the Kinetic Default Port set to 6071. If it’s not automatically set, enter 6071 manually.
Edge Agent Application Label: Leave this blank (optional).

- Click Next to continue -

3. Select Kinetic Client SysConfig Files

To enable classic UIs in the browser, select the system configuration files for each client installation:

SysConfig #1 (LIVE):
C:\Epicor\ERPDT\167821-LIVE\Client\config\lv167821.sysconfig
SysConfig #2 (PILOT) (Optional):
C:\Epicor\ERPDT\167821-PILOT\Client\config\plt167821.sysconfig

- Click Next to continue -

4. URL Allow-List Configuration

Add the following URLs to allow communication with your Epicor environments:

URL #1 (LIVE):
https://robinsonfans-live.epicorsaas.com/server
URL #2 (PILOT) (Optional):
https://robinsonfans-pilot.epicorsaas.com/server

- Click Next to continue -

5. Select Kinetic Client for Classic UIs in Browser

Select the Smart Client’s application file for each environment:

Client #1 (LIVE):
C:\Epicor\ERPDT\167821-LIVE\Client\Epicor.exe
Client #2 (PILOT) (Optional):
C:\Epicor\ERPDT\167821-PILOT\Client\Epicor.exe

- Click Next to proceed - Finish Installation steps.

Step 8: Final Installation Steps

Click Next again and follow the remaining prompts to complete the installation.
The installer will finalize setup and confirm successful installation.
Printing through the web browser with Epicor Kinetic should be available as seen below:
